I am currently recording content for The Stories That Sparkle, where I will showcase the sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes hilarious stories of women like me grappling with how to feel at home in our bodies—as we grow, as we age, and as we heal.

Below is a little history of The Hella Fabulous Show with I co-hosted with Baby Ruthliss. From 2008-2010, we broadcast live every Wednesday morning from the storefront studio of East Village Radio in NYC.

We did our own booking, producing, editing and studio tech. We created and managed our own RSS feeds post-production. We ran our own marketing and hosted live events. We were a one-stop shop. Neither of us were morning people; Twitter had just emerged; and Blackberries were still de riguer. We were podcasting before podcasting.

For two years, every Wednesday morning from 8-10am, Ruth and I made our sometimes irreverent, always insightful way through the internet airwaves from a storefront studio on 1st Avenue in the East Village, NYC.

The Hella Fabulous Show

We interviewed authors, musicians, activists, comedians, journalists, reality TV stars, and doctors. We had full bands perform live in-studio and on stage. And we tried to mind-meld with Jimmy Fallon. It was a hoot. We were two clever beavers (with a pendant to prove it) who were ahead of our time or mayhaps, right on time.
